
On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 15:00 CET, a delegation from the Faculty of Science and Technology, Airlangga University (UNAIR), represented by Prof. Dr. Fatmawati, M.Si., and Cicik Alfiniyah, M.Si., Ph.D., held a meeting with Prof. Kees Vuik and Prof. W. van Horssen from the Mathematics Institute, Delft University of Technology (TU Delft).

The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, beginning with casual conversations to build rapport before moving into the main discussion agenda. Both parties discussed various strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the academic cooperation between UNAIR and TU Delft.


During the meeting, the UNAIR team presented plans for developing collaborative programs, including student/staff exchanges, joint research and publication, joint classes, and joint supervision. Additionally, the possibility of developing joint/double degree programs for Master’s and Doctoral levels was also discussed. This initiative is expected to be a concrete step in supporting the enhancement of education and research quality at both institutions. This meeting marks a significant first step in building closer academic collaboration between Airlangga University and Delft University of Technology. With mutual commitment, this collaboration is expected to create new opportunities for students and researchers, while also making a positive contribution to the advancement of science on a global scale.
