Salah satu prestasi yang membanggakan kembali ditorehkan oleh alumni dari Prodi Kimia angkatan 2004, yaitu Mirza Ardella Saputra yang pada Bulan Desember 2017 lalu berhasil meraih gelar Doktornya di Louisiana State University.  Dissertasi Ph.D nya yang berjudul “New Synthetic Reactions Towards Global Chlorination and Enamides Functionalization” mampu mengantarkan Della ke San Diego State University untuk menjalankan riset postdoc dibawah bimbingan Prof. Jeff Gustafson’s.

Bukan itu saja, prestasi yang berhasil diraih Della, pada Bulan Mei 2017, Della memenangkan the James Traynham Distinguished Graduate Student Award. Penghargaan ini diberikan kepada mahasiswa Doktoral yang memiliki prestasi luar biasa baik dalam penelitian maupun dalam pembelajaran di LSU Chemistry.{:}{:en}

An admirable achievement was made by an alumnus of Chemistry program from class of 2004, Mirza Ardella Saputra. In December 2017, she managed to achieve her doctorate degree in Lousiana State University. Her Ph.D. dissertation titled “New Synthetic Reactions Towards Global Chlorination and Enamides Functionalization” succeeded to drive Della to San Diego State University to conduct a postdoctoral research under the guidance of  Prof. Jeff Gustafson.

That is not the only accomplishment achieved by Della. In May 2017, she won a James Traynham Distinguished Graduate Student Award. This award is given to Doctoral students who have outstanding achievement both in research and in learning in LSU Chemistry.{:}
