The activity took place at <span class=\"s1\"><b>Van Lang University<\/b><\/span>, Ho Chi Minh City, on 7 February 2026. Therefore, the program marked an important milestone for global academic collaboration.<\/p><\/p>\n\n<p>Delegations represented higher education institutions from Europe and Southeast Asia. Specifically, participants came from Indonesia, Norway, Poland, Thailand, and Vietnam. Moreover, cross-regional participation enriched academic knowledge exchange.<\/p>\n\n<p><p class=\"p1\">The Indonesian delegation included Universitas Airlangga, Institut Teknologi Bandung, and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember. Meanwhile, the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Airlangga, sent <span class=\"s1\"><b>Prof. Dr. Fatmawati, M.Si.<\/b><\/span> and <span class=\"s1\"><b>Cicik Alfiniyah, Ph.D.<\/b><\/span> As a result, FST UNAIR actively contributed to every session.<\/p><\/p>\n\n<p><p class=\"p1\">Van Lang University officially welcomed all delegates. Consequently, the program took place in an open and collaborative atmosphere. Next, the agenda began with a <span class=\"s1\"><b>campus and laboratory tour<\/b><\/span>.<\/p><\/p>\n\n<p>Delegates directly observed Van Lang University\u2019s leading research facilities. In addition, participants examined infrastructure supporting modern engineering education. Therefore, the visit strengthened practical understanding among consortium members.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><h5><b>Exploring Innovation and Higher Education Challenges<\/b><\/h5><\/h5>\n\n<p>After the campus tour, delegates joined thematic discussion sessions. At this stage, discussions addressed major challenges in global higher education. In particular, topics included green innovation and digital transformation.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"472\" src=\"https:\/\/fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/4B-1024x472.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22542\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/4B-1024x472.png 1024w, https:\/\/fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/4B-300x138.png 300w, https:\/\/fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/4B-768x354.png 768w, https:\/\/fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/4B.png 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p><p class=\"p1\">One key focus involved the use of <span class=\"s1\"><b>Artificial Intelligence<\/b><\/span> in research activities. Through AI, universities can accelerate sustainable innovation development. Furthermore, participants discussed strategies to strengthen industry engagement.<\/p><\/p>\n\n<p>With this approach, universities can improve graduate employability. As a result, curricula become more aligned with global market needs. Therefore, these discussions provided strategic value for consortium partners.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><h5><b>Strengthening Joint Research and International Networks<\/b><\/h5><\/h5>\n\n<p><p class=\"p1\">Beyond academic discussions, the agenda encouraged <span class=\"s1\"><b>joint research initiatives<\/b><\/span>. Each institution explored bilateral and multilateral collaboration opportunities. Thus, technical cooperation became more concrete.<\/p><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"719\" height=\"794\" src=\"https:\/\/fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/4C.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22544\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/4C.png 719w, https:\/\/fst.unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/4C-272x300.png 272w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 719px) 100vw, 719px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p>The program also strengthened alumni networks and international partnerships. In addition, this collaboration supported the core mission of the Erasmus+ GREENSEA project. The primary focus remains on Green Deal goals and education digitalization.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Short Exchange series concluded with a joint reflection session. During this session, delegates formulated the next implementation steps. Finally, the consortium carried forward a more mature strategic framework.<\/p>\n\n<p>The synergy built at Van Lang University is expected to strengthen higher education ecosystems. Therefore, this collaboration promotes innovation, inclusivity, and adaptability.
