UNAIR NEWS –To maintain the health and safety of its partners, Universitas Airlangga provides free rapid test facilities. This time, UNAIR conducted a free rapid test for journalists or media workers.

Located in the Health Service Center (PLK) Campus C UNAIR (14/7), media crews who are members of educational journalism took turns conducting rapid tests conducted by UNAIR PLK doctors. Regarding this, Head of Information and Public Relations Center Dr. Suko Widodo explained that the facility was provided free of charge as a form of UNAIR’s concern for the prevention of COVID-19 among media crews.

“UNAIR gives full attention to media crews to maintain their health. Especially education journalists, who often hold coverage at UNAIR. With this, it is hoped that journalists can work and find information at UNAIR in a healthy condition, “he said.

Meanwhile, Willy, one of the media crew members who attended, said that he was very grateful to UNAIR. He considered the facility very useful and a moral support for media colleagues who were still on duty in the midst of a pandemic.

“We education journalists are very grateful to UNAIR. To the rector and his staff. This is certainly a form of support and concern for media workers who continue to work in the midst of a high pandemic,” he explained.

Not only that, Septinda Ayu, who is also one of the leading print media crews in Indonesia, said that the free facilities provided to fellow journalists are very useful. Considering that every day, media colleagues work in the field and meet many people,.

“Even though we have complied with health protocols by wearing masks, washing hands, and carrying hand sanitizer, it does not rule out the possibility of us being exposed. For that, thank you for doing the test for free at UNAIR,” she said.
