CHEMISTRY

Master of Science (M.Si)

Profile

The implementation of the Master of Chemistry is based on the Decree of the General Directorate of Higher Education No. 853/D/T/2008. This program aims to meet the needs of chemists with a Master’s degree with special specifications, in accordance with international requirements in the era of globalization, so that graduates can follow the development of chemistry and apply it in social life. The Master of Chemistry program covers areas of interest in organic chemistry, biochemistry, analytical chemistry, and physical chemistry, which are included in scientific chemistry. The development supports the usefulness of chemistry in a wider range of applications such as health, industry, and the environment.

Admission Period:

1 Time/Year

National Accreditation

UNGGUL

An accreditation body charged with carrying out the accreditation process in the field of education.

Vision, Mission, and Goals

Vision

To become a national and international center of excellence in bioscience, synthesis, and chemical analysis based on sustainable technological principles through basic and applied scientific education and research for the benefit of society based on religious morality.

Mission

  1. To organize quality chemistry education based on the development of science and technology, national and international labour market needs.
  2. To develop innovative basic and applied scientific research based on the development of science and technology.
  3. Carry out community service as a manifestation of social responsibility to strengthen and improve the quality of life of the community.
  4. To collaborate with government and private institutions at national and international levels for the sustainability of program development.

Objectives

  1. Deepen or extend the science of chemistry or applied chemistry by producing models/methods/theory development that are accurate, tested, innovative, and scientifically publishable in national or international peer-reviewed journals.
  2. Solving scientific and technological problems related to chemical structures and properties at the micro- and macro-molecular levels through experimental, theoretical deductions, or computational/simulation approaches.
  3. Develop the benefits of chemical science for wider application in health, industry, and the environment.
