Surabaya, Saturday, February 15, 2025 – The Ternate Auditorium at ASEEC Building Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) witnessed the excitement of the Grand Final of FST Student Ambassadors 2025, the peak of a long selection process for the 2025 Student Ambassadors of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST). This event also marked the end of term of the 2024 FST Student Ambassadors who left a legacy of pride and inspiration.
The event was attended by important figures, including Dr. Nurina Fitriani, S.T. as Faculty Ambassador, representatives from the FST Dean’s office, Dr. Fariz Fadillah Mardianto, M.Si as the Coordinator of Public Relations at FST, representatives from Airlangga Global Engagement (AGE) and the UNAIR SDG’s Center, as well as honorary guests from Raka Raki East Java, Cak Ning Surabaya, UNAIR Ambassadors, and representatives from each faculty’s ambassadors at Universitas Airlangga. Additionally, the event also attended by many supporters of the grand finalists who made the atmosphere merry and joyful.
The event opened with a mesmerizing opening dance, followed by speeches from Dr. Nurina Fitriani, S.T., Ailsa Shafa Salsabila as the Head of the Selection Committee for 2025 FST Student Ambassadors, and Prithalia Ibra Cardine as the Chairperson of the 2024 FST Student Ambassadors Association. Another memorable moment was the speeches from the finalists with the topic related to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), showcasing their intellectuality and awareness of global issues.
Moreover, the finalists also showcased their creativity through a performance, demonstrating their talents beyond academic intelligence. The tension increased as the Q&A session began for the two best finalists, testing their critical thinking abilities and responsiveness in answering questions directly from the judges.
One of the most emotional moments was the last walk of the 2024 FST Student Ambassadors, marking the end of their journey in carrying out their duties over the past year. This moment served as a reminder of their dedication in fulfilling their final program with full responsibility.
The highlight of the event was the announcement of the winners, where the selected 2025 Student Ambassador pair was officially revealed. Additionally, special awards were given in various categories such as Duta Intelegensia, Duta Inspiratif, Duta Persahabatan, Duta Berbakat, and Duta Favorit, based on various evaluation criteria.
With renewed spirit, the 2025 FST Student Ambassadors are expected to inspire the entire academic community and bring the name of the Faculty of Science and Technology Universitas Airlangga to national and international level, carrying the motto of “The Best Science with Morality.”
