Surabaya, Tuesday, February 18, 2025 – The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) received an offer for the initiation of a collaboration from Auckland University of Technology (AUT). This collaboration was initiated through an online session via Microsoft Teams, conducted as a webinar to introduce both institutions and identify potential areas for collaboration in Education, Research, and Community Service, which will formulate the document of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA).
The webinar was attended by the Vice Dean on Research and Partnership, Prof. Dr. Fatmawati, M.Si and some representatives from several Departments including Anjar Tri Wibowo, M.Si., Ph.D from Department of Biology, Dr. Herry Suprajitno, M.Si. as Head of the Department of Mathematics, Cicik Alfiniyah, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D as Secretary of the Department of Mathematics, Prof. Dr. M. Zakki Fahmi, M.Si as Head of the Department of Chemistry, Dr. Alfa Akustia Widiati, M.Si as Secretary of the Department of Chemistry and M. Hilman Fu’adil Amin, Ph.D from the Department of Biology.
During the presentation session, representatives of the departments—Anjar Tri Wibowo for the Department of Biology, Cicik Alfiniyah for the Department of Mathematics, and Zakki Fahmi for the Department of Chemistry—each provided an overview of their research projects in order to explore the potential collaboration which could support the development of knowledge and innovation.
It is hoped that this initiation of collaboration will enable FST UNAIR and AUT to establish a strong academic partnership, expand international research networks, and strengthen contributions to the development of science in various strategic fields.
