On Saturday, September 28, 2024, BEM FST UNAIR welcomed a delegation from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu as part of the Student Inbound Mobility Programs: International Visit Between BEM FST Universitas Airlangga x JPKK Universiti Malaysia Terengganu. This visit, filled with various bonding activities, aimed to foster collaboration between the two universities. The event took place at Campus C, Universitas Airlangga, with participants consisting of 10 students from FST UNAIR and 14 representatives from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu.
The Student Inbound Mobility Programs began with an opening ceremony. After the ceremony, BEM FST UNAIR invited representatives from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu to participate in a campus tour. During the tour, the visiting students explored Campus C of UNAIR while learning about its history. This activity coincided with UNAIR’s 244th graduation ceremony, allowing the Universiti Malaysia Terengganu students to witness the graduates and experience the excitement of UNAIR’s graduation parade. The Student Inbound Mobility Programs concluded with a closing ceremony.
Through this initiative, BEM FST UNAIR aimed to strengthen the bond and collaboration between the two universities. The campus tour was designed to provide factual information about Universitas Airlangga to the visiting students. Additionally, during the program, the bonding activities fostered friendships between participants from both institutions. The closing dinner also provided an opportunity for students to exchange cultural insights through artistic performances.
The Student Inbound Mobility Programs also contributed to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically, the program successfully addressed SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. Collaboration with international universities plays a crucial role in strengthening collective and effective efforts toward achieving the SDGs. This initiative aligns with BEM FST UNAIR’s vision and mission of inclusive collaboration, emphasizing cooperation and engagement with student organizations at both the national and international levels.
