Profile

The Bachelor of Chemistry programme is an undergraduate programme administered by the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Airlangga. The profile of graduates of this programme has been adapted to the level of qualification standards set by the Indonesian National Qualification Framework (INQF), namely a Bachelor of Chemistry comparable to level 6 who has competence as a technician or analyst. In its implementation, there are 5 (five) areas of specialisation including Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physical Chemistry. For two consecutive periods, the Chemistry programme has successfully obtained A-accreditation from BAN-PT and AUN international certification.

Vision, Mission, and Goals

Vision

To become an innovative and leading undergraduate program in Chemistry that pioneers the development of Chemistry nationally and internationally through education, research, and community service in a professional, quality and moral manner. The vision of the Bachelor of Chemistry programme is based on the vision of Universitas Airlangga and the vision of the Faculty of Science and Technology.

Mission

  1. To organize quality chemistry education and teaching based on morality, science and technology development, national and international labor market needs, soft skills, and entrepreneurship.
  2. To conduct innovative research with an integrative approach in the field of chemistry based on the development of science and technology.
  3. To provide expertise in the field of chemistry and its application for community empowerment.
  4. To organize organizational and institutional management in line with good university governance, with the principles of accountability, transparency, and checks and balances.
  5. To establish a network of collaboration with stakeholders, both industry and other institutions at national and international levels in the fields of education, research, and community service for the sustainability of the program.

Objectives

  1. Competent graduates in the field of chemistry, able to work professionally and independently and to compete nationally and internationally.
  2. Innovative research in chemistry with an inter- and multidisciplinary approach.
  3. Community service to increase the capacity of the community in relation to the field of chemistry.
  4. Collaborative research in chemistry and its applications with industry and institutions, both nationally and internationally.
  5. To build a network of cooperation with stakeholders, both industry and other institutions at national and international levels in the areas of education, research, and community service for the sustainability of the program.
